　　Nowadays，being a college student no longer means striding into the threshold of bright future and campus has lost its used mystery as ivory tower with the expansion of admission. Upon entering the gate of university, students have to make preparation for future employment.

　　A civil servant is regarded by society as the golden rice bowl. Comparatively stable position，comfortable working condition，revered social status，considerable incomes and various kinds of welfare make it the ideal occupation for college students. But the competition is fierce with the one out of two hundred elimination rate. As far as I am concerned，I think I can have a try，if I was not chosen，I would like to make other options.

　　The examination of civil servants is famous for its difficulty，which involve comprehensive check on one's mathematical，language，reasoning and problem-solving abilities. But I won't take this exam year by year until I am chosen，which is practiced by civil servants followers. My reasons may go as follows：to begin with，civil servants may not give you the space for further development. The favorable working conditions can not train one's fortitude and diligence，sometimes it may help foster the laziness in one's work. Moreover，the civil servants may easily succumb to bureaucracy and indulge themselves in pursuit of vanity and wealth. Official bribery，disguised embezzlement is the impression civil servants leave us. Last but not the least，young people should cast their eyes to the grand western China and make contribution to the development there.

　　To sum up，a civil servant is not the only choice for college graduates，you can bring your competence into full play in other fields，not just becoming a civil servant.
